The IVL Foundation, in partnership with iCare Thailand Foundation, supported the construction of a new student dormitory at Ban Huai Kong Po School in Mae La Noi District, Mae Hong Son.
The school serves 65 students from kindergarten to grade 6, most of whom are Paganyaw hill tribe children from remote villages separated by two mountains. The only access is a rugged dirt road, often impassable during the rainy season. Many students endure a two-hour walk each way to attend school.
The new facility, completed in May, now provides safe and suitable accommodation for up to 30 students each year. By reducing daily travel, the dormitory ensures better school attendance, improved academic focus, and greater access to education.
The new dormitory marks a meaningful step toward ensuring better living and learning conditions for students in this underserved community.
Beyond infrastructure, iCare continues to work closely with families to strengthen awareness of the importance of education, helping to create long-term, sustainable impact for this underserved community.

การสร้างหอพักนักเรียนที่โรงเรียนบ้านห้วยกองเป๊าะ
มูลนิธิไอวีแอลร่วมกับมูลนิธิไอแคร์ ประเทศไทย สนับสนุนการก่อสร้างหอพักนักเรียนแห่งใหม่ที่โรงเรียนบ้านห้วยกองเป๊าะ อำเภอแม่ลาน้อย จังหวัดแม่ฮ่องสอน
โรงเรียนบ้านห้วยกองเป๊าะมีนักเรียน 65 คน ตั้งแต่ระดับอนุบาลถึงประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โดยส่วนใหญ่เป็นชาวปกาเกอะญอจากหมู่บ้านห่างไกลซึ่งถูกแบ่งแยกด้วยภูเขาสองลูก เส้นทางไปโรงเรียนเป็นถนนลูกรังขรุขระ และในฤดูฝนแทบไม่สามารถสัญจรได้ ทำให้นักเรียนหลายคนต้องเดินเท้ากว่า 2 ชั่วโมงไป-กลับเพื่อมาเรียนหนังสือ
การก่อสร้างหอพักใหม่แล้วเสร็จในเดือนพฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2568 ช่วยรองรับนักเรียนได้ถึง 30 คนต่อปี ทำให้ลดภาระการเดินทาง เพิ่มความสม่ำเสมอในการมาเรียน ช่วยให้นักเรียนมีสมาธิ และเข้าถึงโอกาสทางการศึกษาได้มากขึ้น
โครงการนี้นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตและการเรียนรู้ของเยาวชนในชุมชนที่ขาดแคลน นอกจากการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานแล้ว มูลนิธิไอแคร์ ประเทศไทย ยังทำงานร่วมกับครอบครัวในพื้นที่ เพื่อสร้างความตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการศึกษา วางรากฐานของการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ยั่งยืนในระยะยาว
